"Your Roses Really Smell Like Poo!"
So I need help. Grace has a great trash can for her diapers. It's a Diaper Champ and we really like it. The thing is is that it smells. Smells bad. When ever we change the bag, we make it a point to Lysol and disinfect the whole thing. But when you walk into Grace's room or even our apartment, you can smell it. Does anyone have suggestions on how this can smell better?

Put it outside...
Don't put the poopie diapers in it. Take them immediately outside!
So there is a problem with me taking things outside. We live on the first floor apartment and all of the dogs pee right outside our sliding glass door and I don't think their owners would appreciate them getting into a diaper. Also, they have asked that we keep our patio clear since the maintenance men walk right on it. If we were on the second floor, totally would do it!
I totally understand. I finally got a way to expensive diaper Decor. It works really well, but I can still smell the really stinky ones. I suggest double bagging. wrap it in a grocery bag before tossing it or they also sell little bags that smell like baby powder. You could put it that before tossing it in your pail.
Hey Summer,
Dee gave me your blog site. Grace is so cute.

The best solution I ever came up with was just to take the diapers directly to the outside bin or dumpster. This wasn't always easy considering that I was half-asleep and in my PJs for most of the few years that I had diapered babies around the house. Good luck!
Baking Soda...I throw it in my trash all the time, it absorbs odors...Put a liner in it, then throw in the soda...give it a try!!
Btter yet, put a bounce sheet at the bottom of the champ and everytime you change the bag, change the sheet. It works wonders. Oh and continue to lysol and such as needed too, just to keep things clean!

Been there, done all that. Good luck! Better yet, can we potty train yet?!? : )
When are you headed west again? We should meet up in Utah!
